May 16 No Sun morning gathering for next 2 wks: 5/17, 5/24: Taiwan tripDear Friends,
Sorry for this late notice for those of you who haven't heard that Lucy and I will be making our annual pilgrimage next week back to Taiwan to see her folks and friends!
So, we will be gone for the next 2 Sundays in Taiwan. We are back 5/25.
Prayer Items:
1. Pls pray for my lower back problems to be 100% healed as I get on the plane in 4 hrs!
2. Pray that my back and body will be healthier and stronger from this trip, since we gotta do lotsa walking!
3. Pray that noone has any kind of flu on the plane and our health in ROC
4. Pray the LORD can use us to witness Christ in word and deed to all of Lucy's family, friends, and everyone we meet
5. Pray we can maintain our times of devotions with Jesus through this vacation time
6. Pray that Lucy and I can have a sweet romantic time with each other and Jesus and come back refreshed for a busy work week ahead of us!
7. We come back with MANY stories of how GOOD He has been to us!
Look forward to hearing your new stories of His goodness to you too when we return!

We were so blessed and surprised to have Alan and sister Karen join us, esp Alan who has been away for a while!
It was wonderful to hear how Alan misses our prayer time! It was also such a blessing how Karen taught us a very powerful children's song
that reminds us our bodies are NOT our own! I Cor 6:19-20

Lucy and I are back from the FamilyLife Marriage Conference and it was a good refresher for us and the LORD spoke and convicted us anew! One of the speakers was a super powerful and dynamic and hilarious Spirit-filled youth missionary named Greg Speck!
Pls join us this Sun morn 10am as we take a break from Hebrews and host a totally open time of worship/praise/fellowship and hearing what GOD has been doing in your life since we last met! May we all be edified and He glorified!

Thomas&Lucy No Sun morning gathering 5/3-- We are at FamilyLife Marriage Conference again! : )Dear Friends,
This Sun 5/3 morning, we will not be hosting a gathering in our home. For Lucy and I will be at the Weekend to Remember FamilyLife Marriage Conference this weekend.
It is GOD's amazing grace that He opened the door for us to attend this Conference our second time, exactly a year after our first time! Pls pray that the LORD will speak to our hearts afresh and make this another special romantic and convicting time for both Lucy and me again!
Tonite, the Holy Spirit already gave us some good reminders!

Pls join us next Sun morn 10am as we host an open time of praise/worship/fellowship and then continue to plumb the depths of Hebrews 11, that we just touched the surface of last Sun!
Just reading through the whole chapter, verse by verse, strengthens your faith and makes you wanna sing with those cloud of witnesses gone ahead of us:
Faith is the Victory!
Faith is the Victory!
O glorious victory that overcomes the world!
I encourage us all to look at each man or woman of faith and ask ourselves:
What can I learn from their spec example of faith? What principle of FAITH is revealed?
"Faith is _____________" -- Love to hear what GOD shows you!
Without faith, it is impossible to please GOD;
With faith, it is impossible to not please GOD!
With faith, the impossible becomes possible! \o/
May we echo with the apostles, "Lord, increase our faith" (LK 17:5)

Pls join us this Sun morn 10am as we host a time of open praise/worship/fellowship and then go back to the book of Hebrews! This Sun we begin our exploration and mutual sharing in the famous Ch.11 of Hebrews: the so-called "Hallway of Heroes of Faith". For upon closer inspection we will see they are simply ordinary, very fallible men and women like you and me BUT with simple child-like faith in an Extraordinary GOD!
As one preacher put it: the question today is not where is the God of Abraham, Moses, Elijah, but where are the Abes, Moseses and Elijahs? GOD has not changed.
LORD, make us the true men and women of faith in this faithless generation who take you at Your Word alone and walk it out in radical obedience!
As you read this chapter, ask yourself how you define "faith"?
How does the writer define "faith"?
Faith is ........ (you fill in the answer!)
